Samsung galaxy S6 edge to have long life when in water despite the fact that it is not designed in the mode of being a water proof smartphone. The test of immersing the phone in water was carried out by my fellow Admin Kimwala John of the greatest tech blogger with the great website of Gsmarena by risking new samsung galaxy S6 on water..
kimjohtech have not prepared only a video to you,but there is the list of the critical comments from other users of Samsung Galaxy S6 who shared their ideas about this video

Good job Samsung.... S6 have good prevention for incidents...
I am still careful with phones and I don't need waterproof...
S6 have efective protection for quick drops, rain and some incident situation...
maybe, this way is better for construction than waterproof, because is cheaper and still can protect phone from water

I've seen someone do this same test with an LG G3. It survived like 20-30 minutes underwater, as well as held under a faucet.
No IP Certification shouldn't exactly be a deal breaker these days unless you are working in a pool or something
3 third
my galaxy xcover ip67 certified, still works after multiple water submerges,if your region is rainy or if you work on eain and dust conditions buy one with ip 67,68,or 69k
4. fourth
Even if it's water resistant i still wouldn't risk it. Unless it's waterproof then i'll bring it for some underwater photography. Damm i like that screen.5. fifthi wish they would stop doing these tests, they are very misleading. any phone submerged in water (except for ip67 with ports closed) will eventually stop working, I can take 20 seconds to days, but as soon as water is inside the damage will eventually take its toll as it will corrode whatever it gets onto. If a phone is not ip67, then you should never submerge it, and if it does seek professionals to open and clean it properly.
SO,IF IT HAS STAYED FOR ALL THAT LONG IN WATER,THEN IT CAN SURVIVE IN THE SWIMMING POOL AS WELL WHEN SOMEONE IS SWIMMING WITH IT!!!!!
